About Roberts Farm

The education work that we do at Roberts Farm Experiential Learning is made possible by a unique collaboration of local organizations in the Oxford Hills:

Roberts Farm Preserve is a 212 acre preserve in Norway that is owned and managed by Western Foothills Land Trust. It's an amazing year-round recreation resource for the community with over 7 miles of trails and groomed cross country ski trails in the winter. Visit â€‹â€‹wfltmaine.org/roberts-farm to learn more about this property.

The Oxford Hills School District has utilized this space in different ways over the years to support experiential education, outdoor learning adventures, and connections to gardens and growing food. Our school year programs are focused on targeting 5th grade classes across MSAD 17. As we head into the 2024-2025 school year, we are excited to expand our work to reach 3rd and 4th grade classes in MSAD 17!

Growing Healthy Kids is a New Balance Foundation-funded program of Healthy Oxford Hills that seeks to reduce childhood overweight and obesity rates in Oxford County. Growing Healthy Kids utilizes evidence-based programs such as 100 Mile Club and Boston Children's Hosptial's Fit Kit to encourage students to build healthy habits around physical activity, nutrition, and mental health.
